On August 7, 2007, Nelson L. Adams, III, M.D., a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist in Miami, Florida, was installed as the 108th President of the National Medical Association (NMA), the largest and oldest national organization representing more than 30,000 physicians of African descent and the patients they serve. An excep-tional achiever and leader, Dr. Adams is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, including an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
